This print features my mixed-media collage ‘Tides of Trauma” which is 1 of 3 glow-in-the-dark artworks currently exhibiting at the Kirschner Family Community Art Gallery in the Collective Threads showcase (August 10 - September 14, 2025). In the dead of winter when the days are the shortest, and I was off work dealing with mental burnout and some pretty tough life shit... this piece was created. I channeled all of my emotional energy into this artwork while listening to The Cure’s latest album and wallowing my little heart out - still keeping my head above water.
The original was made on a canvas with magazine/book clippings, shells, paint, foil, glitter, and glow-in-the-dark paint coming together in a bright, textured, and playful design. A digital image was then taken, tweaked in Adobe Photoshop and re-embellished with glitter, gems and glow-in-the-dark paint.
Printed on 8.5×11” matte photo paper, ready to be popped into your favourite frame.
