This body of work circles around the things we tend to skirt rather than face head-on. Death and grief hover in the background, a sensitive conversation but always present. Questions about the “right” life path surface and tangle with the habits, expectations, and mistakes we quietly inherit and then pass along. Vintage images of women are used in each artwork as an acknowledgment of where generations quite literally begin.
Together, the works examine how these spoken and unspoken ideas influence the lives and generations that follow.

Each original collage is created by hand-cut magazine clippings, found materials, gems, paint, and glitter. A high quality digital image is then taken and uploaded into Adobe Photoshop for colour tweaks, and Adobe Fresco for digital illustration touches.
