Rendering Visions Documentary Premiere - Ft. My Digital Illustrations
On November 6th, I attended the world premiere of Rendering Visions, a documentary that explores the question - “What do artists need in Fort McMurray?”
I was commissioned to create two digital illustrations for this project, and it was such a pleasure to play a small part in this beautiful project.
From their release: Through a series of interviews, and stunning visual effects that weave local art pieces into reality, local Director Ashley Laurenson imagines what the future of the arts in Wood Buffalo could be with the development of Arts INC - an incubator to develop and support artists.
She explores the struggles, resiliency and creativity in our region with heartfelt stories from local artists, historical accounts from arts champions of our region, and messages of hope for future artists in Wood Buffalo.
With commissioned paintings, poetry, photography, dance, and music from artists across Fort McMurray, Rendering Visions shines a light on the talent and heart of our creative community. The film honours where we are now while imagining the future of the arts in Wood Buffalo - capturing a moment that future artists can look back on before Arts INC becomes a reality.
Rendering Visions is a production of M’Guphynn Media.
I highly recommend watching out for this documentary to be released after it’s festival run, it’s a must-see!
